The largest bearing platform on the Nanjing-Huai'an intercity railway was poured with cement concrete on Monday morning.
The 522-meter Liuhe Extra Large Bridge of the Nanjing-Huai'an Intercity Railway, with a main span of 220 meters, is the key control project with the largest bridge span, the highest technical content, and the greatest construction difficulty along the entire line. The bearing platform under the 710 main pier is 33.2 meters long, 18.2 meters wide, and 4 meters high, requiring 2417 cubic meters of concrete to be poured.
The 179-kilometer Nanjing-Huai'an intercity railway, designed to have a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, is an important component of the intercity railway backbone in the Yangtze River urban clusters in Jiangsu and the intercity rail transit network in the Yangtze River Delta region.
This intercity railway will shorten the travel time between Nanjing and Huai'an to one hour, and further improve the layout of the intercity rail transit network in Jiangsu. It is of great significance for promoting the economic and social development of the Nanjing metropolitan area and Jiangsu and Anhui, and supporting the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
