Since the 24th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland, Jiangsu has strengthened cooperation with Macau in economy, trade, culture, education, and tourism, benefiting the people of both regions, and writing a new chapter in the integrated development of Jiangsu and Macau.

In Macau, an app called "Aomi" offers various life services such as food, tourism, and hotels, and supports payment in both Macau dollars and Chinese yuan. This popular app in Macau was created by Jiang Haitao, a native of Jiangsu.

“The development of ‘Aomi’ aims to bring a very convenient way of life to the citizens of Macau, and also hopes that more mainland tourists can experience a better Macau through ‘Aomi’,” said Jiang Haitao, Founder of Aomi APP.

Jiang Haitao has chosen to stay in Macau for development and launched the "Aomi" app in 2016.

Over the past seven years, "Aomi" has developed rapidly, with over 6000 local catering, retail and some other businesses included and over 700000 registered users. It has become the largest lifestyle service platform in Macau and one of the most widely used apps in Macau.

Aomi's business front line operates in the Macau company, while its core research and development "brain" is located in Hengqin, Zhuhai and Jiangbei New Area of Nanjing.

“Nanjing has many famous universities with excellent talent advantages. The Jiangbei New Area in Nanjing has provided preferential policies for Macau funded enterprises. I hope to lead more entrepreneurial young people in Macau to come and take a look in Nanjing,” said Jiang Haitao.

Relying on the education, culture, and tourism cooperation platforms established between the two regions, Jiangsu has continuously deepened its friendship with Macau through repeated exchanges and interactions.

In recent years, the Education Department of Jiangsu has continued to organize exchanges and learning among young people from Jiangsu, Hong Kong, and Macao. More than 200 Macau students are studying in Jiangsu universities. From January to November this year, Jiangsu received 116 thousand Macau residents.

The "Jiangsu Macau Pavilion" located at the University of Macau and the Kunqu opera "Peony Pavilion" performed in Macau have witnessed the profound friendship between the two places.

“Originating in Jiangsu, Kunqu is an excellent traditional Chinese culture. With the help of Macau, Kunqu has served as a window and bridge for Jiangsu Kunqu to promote on the world stage by allowing more people around the world to know the vastness and profoundness of the Chinese traditional culture,” said Li Huiyin, Promoter of Kunqu opera, President of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Drama Association.

As of the end of August this year, Macau has invested 432 enterprises in Jiangsu, with an actual investment of 1.7 billion US dollars in fields such as electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, professional technical services, and monetary and financial services. From January to October this year, Macau established 21 new investment enterprises in Jiangsu, a year-on-year increase of 23.5%. In the meantime, Jiangsu has established 23 overseas investment enterprises and institutions in Macau.

Over the years, the communication and cooperation mechanisms between the two regions have also become increasingly perfect. Jiangsu enterprises have made significant contributions to the China Portugal Forum and the Macao International Trade and Investment Expo.

The Jiangsu Macau Portuguese Speaking Countries Business Summit, which has been held continuously for thirteen years, has helped Jiangsu make inroads into the Portuguese-speaking countries market. Jiangsu has so far signed and implemented a number of cooperation projects with Portuguese-speaking countries such as Brazil, Angola, East Timor, and Cape Verde on agricultural trade, marine fishing, and aquaculture.
