The high-level forum of the 6th Jiangsu Think Tank Summit and the 15th Academic Conference of the Provincial Social Science Community was held in Nanjing on Wednesday.
Zhang Aijun, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, said that on the new journey, social science theorists should give full play to the role of think tanks, observe the general situation, respond to the changing situations, and observe the future, so as to effectively answer "practice questions" with "theoretical thinking".
He hoped that the social science theorists will take the main line of welcoming the implementation of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and take the lead in the study, research and interpretation of the party's innovative theory in the new era.
Social science theorists should focus on pragmatism, innovation and dedication, take the lead in accelerating the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics, constantly improve the development level of philosophy and social sciences in Jiangsu and the construction level of new think tanks, and strive to make new contributions to Jiangsu in carrying out new missions and writing new chapters.
The theme of this summit is "New Journey, New Mission, New Chapter: Taking the Lead in Realizing Socialist Modernization".
