East China’s Jiangsu province has assured of smooth progress of the major investment projects across the province. Let’s take a close look.
On Tuesday morning, Zhenjiang kicked off the pipe-jacking of the No. 6 well of the Jinshan Lake comprehensive CSO overflow pollution treatment large-caliber project. This is the first open well in the project, and the construction technology is very unique.
Chen Dejun, Manager, Sponge City Pipe-jacking Project, Zhenjiang：“The pipe jacking has 490 meters in the lake，which makes the construction difficult.The inner diameter is currently the largest round jack pipe in China with the diameter reaching 4 meters and the depth of soil cover，is currently the deepest in China.”
The use of closed pipe jacking machine can ensure the safety of construction workers when working underwater.
The constructor used an axial fan to ensure the circulation of air in order to ensure long-distance jacking ventilation.
Upon its operation, the project can cut back 91% of the pollutants from entering into the Jinshan Lake, benefiting the sponge city pilot area in the nearby 29 square kilometers and ensure the capacity to cope with flood.
The project will combine the design of scenic green corridors and ecological wetlands to add a river beach wetland landscape to the scenic spots in Zhenjiang.
In the meantime, Jiangsu kicked off the Xu-Han freeway transformation project on May 28. At the construction site, a large crane hoisted vertically the pile foundation reinforcement cage that is nearly 20 meters high before placing it into the foundation pit for casting.
The Xu-Han freeway transformation project spans 3.2 kilometers at a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It will be designed with an hourly speed of 100 km. Scheduled operation is set for 2021.
