A variety of local snacks and specialty food were showcased at the 7th annual session of the China Jiangsu International Catering Exposition that opened in Nanjing on Thursday. The expo is participated by hundreds of chefs from all over Jiangsu and surrounding provinces and municipalities. Promotions of local snacks such as Huangqiao sesame cake and roast duck were held while various cooking competitions were organized. Young chefs were also invited to show off their skills in the final of the Chinese Youth Chef's Championship. The expo will run through to October 14 with hairy crab flesh cooking contest and local flavor food competitions to be held in the coming days.
