The No.2 generating unit of the Jiangsu Liyang Pumped Storage Power Station has passed the 15-day trial operation, marking the total operation of the six generating units of the power station that has an installed capacity of 1.5 million-kilowatt hours. Invested by Jiangsu Guoxin Group with a fund of 8.9 billion yuan, the largest pumped-storage power station in Jiangsu is a key project of the 12th five-year plan period between 2011 and 2015. Construction on the power stations lasted 9 years. The power station, located in Tianmu Lake Town of Liyang, is daily-regulated pumped storage power station. 6 sets of 250MW generating units are installed with a designed annual power generation of 2.007 billion kwh and annual pumping capacity of 2.676 billion kwh.
