The winners of the 8th Wutong Award was announced on Friday afternoon during the annual conference of Nanjing Public Diplomacy Association, honoring 16 individuals and 2 groups who have contributed to the international communication and exchange of Nanjing.
Winners were awarded in the fields of social welfare, cultural communication and business services, etc. With enthusiasm and persistence, they built a bridge between
Nanjing and their hometown, and practiced the public diplomacy of economic and trade exchanges, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people connectivity in their ordinary positions.
Low Ming Han, a Malaysian doctor of traditional Chinese medicine working in Nanjing, said that he has been sharing both clinical experience and his life here with overseas fellows and friends. "This award greatly recognized my work, and I'll continue to share my story in China to the world," said Low.
"Through the project Introduce China with Art, we have been gathering international students around China to express our unique experience of the country through art," said students of Nanjing University of the Arts. "Nanjing is a second home, and our team will connect Nanjing with different countries, telling more Nanjing stories."
