East China's Jiangsu province recorded 5 trillion yuan in digital economy. In 2023, the province will accelerate the development of future industries such as the third generation semiconductor and meta-universe, and continue to expand the scale of the digital industry, according to the 3rd National Conference on Integration of Industrialization and Urbanization and Digital Transformation is being held in Suzhou.
Jiangsu focuses on intelligent manufacturing and accelerates the integrated development of the new generation of information technology and manufacturing industry. Last year, Jiangsu recorded a 1 trillion yuan increase in regional GDP. The proportion of manufacturing added value in to the province's GDP ranks first in the country.
Jiangsu has recorded a digital economy of over 5 trillion yuan, with the added value of core industries accounting for about 11% of GDP.
30 thousand industrial enterprises above designated size in the province have launched intelligent transformation digital transformation projects.
Jiangsu has 9 global lighthouse factories and 12 national level intelligent factories, ranking first in the country for the integrated development level of digitization and intelligence for eight consecutive years.
This year, Jiangsu will strive to break through the "bottleneck" links such as industrial basic software and key components, so as to allow future industries such as meta-universe to take root in Jiangsu.
