Xuanwu district of Nanjing city in East China’s Jiangsu province has established the province’s first not-for-profit alliance for cultural relics and cultural heritage protection.
Many national key cultural relics protection units and provincial cultural relics protection units are situated in Xuanwu District of Nanjing.
By launching the not-for-profit alliance for cultural relics and cultural heritage protection, Xuanwu District will enlist the participation of the procuratorial organs so as to give full play to the synergistic advantages of public interest litigation, promote the joint performance of duties by multiple departments, and form a joint protection force.
The executive director members of the alliance include Nanjing Museum, Nanjing Library, Dr Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum Administration and six other heritage sites.
Efforts will be made to make the alliance a platform for public participation, so that the public can better understand the significance of not-for-profit protection of cultural relics and contribute to the protection of cultural relics.
