Jiangsu Dispute Mediation Online is a comprehensive non-litigation dispute resolution system platform launched by Jiangsu in August last year in a bid to provide enterprises and individuals with 8 types of non-litigation dispute resolution services that include online and offline mediation, administrative mediation, notarization, arbitration, and judicial appraisal.
On May 24, Dispute Mediation Online in Wuxi City received an online mediation application from a company in Chengdu, complaining that a company in Wuxi was in arrears with the advance payment for two years.
Binhu District Litigation and Mediation Committee wasted no time to inform the Wuxi-based company of the legal consequences it would face for breach of contract by launching a three-party video negotiation in the afternoon.
On May 27, the company in Chengdu received the advance payment returned by the company in Wuxi, and the company in Wuxi avoided a breach of contract lawsuit.
According to statistics from the Provincial Department of Justice, since its launch in August last year, the Jiangsu Dispute Mediation Online has registered more than 1.54 million, and accepted 68,712 applications for dispute mediation.
In order to further improve the business environment under the rule of law, Jiangsu has innovatively built the "industry chain + legal service" model, established a professional lawyer service team to connect with 426 provincial and municipal key projects, and provided pre-warning, in-process investigation, and post-event disposal of the whole chain of legal services.
The company entrusted members of the local electronic information industry chain lawyer service group to initiate a lawsuit to protect their rights. The two lawsuits helped the company hold on to patent achievements worth hundreds of millions of yuan.
Jiangsu has built 382 professional lawyer service teams to deal with 11,753 disputes over employment, wage in arrears, contract performance, and commercial affairs, and provided 14,978 pieces of legal advice.
