East China’s Jiangsu province is making headway in the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, as is evidenced by the progress in infrastructure construction and people-to-people exchange.

On Tuesday morning,50 trains of China-Europe Express departed from Lianyungang of China to head for Moscow of Russia.
These freight trains will complement the sea routes from Lianyungang to the Russian Far East and jointly serve the new paradigm of the "Belt and Road" development.
From January to October, Jiangsu sent off 1452 China-Europe Express trains, an increase of 18.9% year-on-year with the value of commodities totaling US$3.03 billion, an increase of 48.71%.
The Bank of China Jiangsu Branch has launched nearly 17 "Belt and Road" cross-border projects, providing financing support exceeding US$500 million.
China Export Credit Insurance Corporation Jiangsu Branch has exported and invested more than 150 billion U.S. dollars in Belt and Road countries.
Backed up by innovative technology and fine management, many major infrastructures along the "Belt and Road" have been branded as "Made in Jiangsu".

Not long ago, the Padma Bridge, hailed as the "Bridge of Dreams" by the Bangladeshi people, achieved full bridge steel girder penetration. The Fourth Company of China Railway Bridge Bureau from Jiangsu adopted a number of original technologies in bridge steel pile construction and steel girder erection.
As the largest bridge project in Bangladesh, it is also one of the important passages connecting China and the Trans-Asian Railway. Upon its operation, the bridge will fuel Bangladesh's annual GDP growth by 1.5% and benefit more than 80 million people.

On November 16, local time, the Suez Canal Swing Railway Bridge in Egypt was joined.

The 14-thousand-ton main steel structure of the bridge is all manufactured and welded on-site by China Construction Steel Structure Jiangsu Co., Ltd. Upon operation, the bridge will reduce the single pass time of railway transportation to 3 minutes.
