The Presidium of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China held its first meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting passed the list of the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the General Assembly.
The standing committee of the 12-member presidium includes Wu Zhenglong, Xu Kunlin, Zhang Yizhen, Yang Yue, Fan Jinlong, Wang Changsong, Deng Xiuming, Zhang Lihong, Zhang Aijun, Fei Gaoyun, Han Liming, and Zhao Shiyong.
The meeting was chaired by Wu Zhenglong, chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Presidium.
Wang Changsong and Zhao Shiyong are the deputy secretary-generals of the conference.
Zhao Shiyong, director of the credential committee, made a report on the review of representative qualifications.
890 delegates had been elected before mid-November 2021.
As of June 2021, the province had a total of 269 thousand grassroots party organizations and 5.407 million party members, of which 103 thousand are probationary party members.
The credential committee said the 890 delegates are elected in compliance with the "Articles of the Communist Party of China" and the regulations on elections.
The 14th Jiangsu Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China will last from November 24 to 27.
