The 5th Jiangsu Wenhua Award was given out at the Jiangsu Grand Theater Sunday night. A total of 127 works were awarded. Zhang Aijun, member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Ma Xin, deputy governor, watched the award-giving party and presented the awards to the winners.
The Wenhua Award is the highest government award in the field of professional art in Jiangsu Province. 20 large stage plays, 97 small stage shows, 113 works of art and 28 works of calligraphy participated in this year’s competition. The Provincial Wenhua Award goes to 10 works, the Excellent Repertoire Award and Excellent Program Award goes to 46 works and 71 works won the Provincial Wenhua Award in other categories.
