春分，是中国二十四节气中的第四个节气。汉语中，“春”是春天的意思；“分者半也”，“分”是平分的意思。春分在中国文化中的含义是说春天过了一半。而同样位于北半球的众多西方国家中，把这一天叫做春之始。在东西方，春分都象征着万物的“新生”。在春分时节，世界各地的人们都要来到户外，郊游踏青，飨宴春光。而希腊的传统习俗，更是和中国有着异曲同工之妙，那就是——放风筝！
The Spring Equinox, or in Chinese, "Chun Fen", is the fourth solar term of the year. In the Chinese language, "Chun" stands for spring, and "Fen" means equally divided. It represents the mid of spring in the Chinese culture, whereas in some other Western countries also in the Northern Hemisphere, people look on the Spring Equinox as the start of spring. In both cultures, the Spring Equinox is a sign of rebirth when people around the world go outing to enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious feast of spring. Greece also shares in common with China the tradition to fly kites on sunny spring days.
