A doctor of traditional Chinese medicine hailed as China’s good Samaritan died recently at the age of 87. Doctor Qin Juntian was born into a family of traditional Chinese medicine for several generations. Since retiring in 1994, he continued to see patients free of charge for 26 years and received more than 60 thousand patients.

This is Qin Juntian's living room and also his consulting room. The last record on his consultation stops on November 18, 2020. This is the last time Dr. Qin offered medical consultation.

Doctor Qin was diagnosed with cerebral infarction hemorrhage and needed to rest in bed. On the afternoon of March 10, he passed away.

Qin Juntian was born in a family of traditional Chinese medicine. His father, Qin Dongyuan, was the founder of Wujiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. Qin Juntian has been visiting patients independently since he was 16 years old.

Qin Juntian retired in 1994 but patients kept visiting him, so he decided to turn his living room into a consultation room and provide outpatient services for free.

Hailed as a good Samaritan, Dr Qin has been living a simple life in his decade-old home.

He turned down high-salaried offer from large hospitals from time to time.

Over the past 26 years, his consultation books added up to more than 400 by receiving more than 60 thousand patients at his living room.
