Recently, Zhangjiagang Baiqiao Food Mart was re-opened after 3 months of renovation. The mart is divided into 5 areas including fruit area and vegetable area and aquatic area with all kinds of goods neatly arranged on 22 stalls, a striking contrast to its messy environment in the past.
After the renovation, Baiqiao Food Mart has become smarter with each booth equipped with electronic display screens.
An electronic screen will display the variety and price of the food on each stall and the business license of the vendors. By scanning the QR code above, the customers can evaluate the integrity of the business.
Authorities in Yancheng city promoted its water environment management and rectification on polluted rivers and flood control areas in an orderly manner with sewage pipe network constructed in the main roads.
The water environment management and rectification project covers an area of about 108 square kilometers over 118 rivers of various types and a total length of 309 kilometers.
