我苏网讯 今天（10月31日）下午，“2020江苏·南京中外企业足球嘉年华”活动在南京青奥体育公园正式拉开帷幕。来自中国、德国、瑞士等多个国家的20家在宁中外企业集结于此，展开角逐。
Soccer, or football is believed to be the world’s most popular sport. In the city of Nanjing, 20 teams from Chinese and foreign-invested enterprises in Jiangsu gathered together Saturday afternoon as the 2020 Nanjing Soccer Carnival kicked off at Nanjing Youth Olympic Park.

足球运动作为世界第一运动，是全世界最广泛的共同体育语言。南京市城市国际化推进办副主任、市商务局局长丁爱民在致辞中表示，希望通过举办足球竞赛，以优化国际营商环境为抓手，以组织开展体育健身活动为媒介，进一步打造宜商、宜业、宜居的良好环境，为所有在宁的追梦人，提供更加广阔的舞台。
In his speech, Ding Aimin, Deputy Director of Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization and Director of the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that he hoped that Nanjing could further create a better environment for business, industry and living by holding sport events like the Soccer Carnival and by optimizing the international business environment.

“在赛场上留下的友谊是竞争的真谛所在。奖杯会磨损，但是友谊地久天长。”这句话出自著名田径运动员Jesse Owens。欧盟商会南京分会董事会成员，同时也是此次参赛球队之一的圣戈班管道系统中国区副总裁Pierre Puskarczyk以此作为寄语，道出了本次活动增进中外企业友谊的主旨。
“Friendships born on the field of athletic strife are the real gold of competition. Awards become corroded, but friends gather no dust,” this is from the famous track and field athlete Jesse Owens. Pierre Puskarczyk, board member of European Chamber of Commerce, Nanjing Chapter and vice president of Saint-Gobain Pipeline System in China, one of the participating teams, used this sentence to encourage all the athletes to enhance friendship as well as competing against each other.

江苏省广播电视总台党委委员、副台长、副总经理任桐在致辞中表示，希望通过本次活动的组织开展，能够推动中外企业深化经贸交流，推进中外产业深度合作，携手在危机中育新机、于变局中开新局。
“We hope that through the organization of this event, we can strengthen the economic and trade exchanges between Chinese and foreign enterprises,” said Ren Tong, Vice President of Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation. “Meanwhile, we can deepen the cooperation between Chinese and foreign industries, work together to cultivate new opportunities in the crisis, and create new situations in the changing environment.”

开幕仪式上，江苏森茗集团专程向此次比赛的参赛队之一——江苏省中西医结合医院代表队捐赠体育装备，以感谢医护人员在抗击新冠肺炎疫情中作出的贡献。
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, medical workers in Jiangsu have responded quickly and joined in Hubei’s fight against the virus. Their sacrifice and professionalism moved everyone. At the opening ceremony, Jiangsu Senming Group donated sports equipment to one of the participating teams - Jiangsu Province Hospital on Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine to show their appreciation of the medical workers’ efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

可隆（南京）特种纺织品队董事长卞在明在结束了今天下午球队第一场球赛之后接受我苏网记者采访。“今天天气很好，比赛踢得很愉快。健康和安全是最重要的，在接下来的比赛中我也会坚持这一点。”卞在明说道。
The team of Kolon Nanjing has just finished their first game before the opening ceremony. Bian Zaiming, the president and also a member of the team, enjoyed the happiness of playing soccer with his teammates. “Today the weather is very good. We had a pretty good time,” he said. “Health and safety are the most important things and I will stick to that in the coming games.”

南京银行副行长Miro Kolesar对本次活动以及自己的球队都充满了信心：“江苏一直以来都是外资高地，这场活动将中外企业在商务合作之外的场合集聚在一起，这可以让我们更好地了解彼此、增进友谊。我这次也参加了球赛，希望我们能赛出水平，赢得冠军。”
Miro Kolesar, Vice President of Bank of Nanjing, expressed his confidence in this event and his team: “Jiangsu, I think, has always been a very interesting and attractive place for foreign investment, one that has attracted most of the investment across the whole country.”
“This even is a great opportunity to put people from both local and foreign enterprises together and not only meet on the basis of the business, but also be able to develop personal relationships, know each other, and compete together,”he said.

我苏网了解到，在接下来的两周里，20支球队将分成4组，进行48场比赛，争夺冠军。同时，评选最佳射手、最佳门将以及最佳组织奖、体育道德风尚奖、公平竞赛奖等奖项。季军赛，决赛将于11月14日举行。
In the following two weeks, 20 teams will compete in 48 matches for the medals. Other awards will also be selected according to the performance of the teams including Best Goalscorer, Best Goalkeeper, Best Organizer, and Best Sportsmanship.
足球赛配有完备的医疗保障
据悉，此次活动由南京市城市国际化推进办公室指导，南京市商务局、南京市人民政府外事办公室、江苏省广播电视总台联合中国欧盟商会共同举办，既为中外企业的足球爱好者提供了展示风采的赛场，也为众多跨国公司和省市重点企业提供了加强交流、增进友谊的平台。
The 2020 Nanjing Soccer Carnival was guided by Promotion Office of Nanjing Urban Internationalization, and co-organized by the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Nanjing Municipal people's Government, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, and European Chamber of Commerce, Nanjing Chapter.
The carnival provides an opportunity for soccer lovers in Chinese and foreign enterprises to compete, and a platform for multinational corporations and key enterprises in Jiangsu to strengthen exchanges and enhance friendship.
