East China’s Jiangsu province will make more efforts to highlight production safety and give greater attention to the resumption of work and production. The remark was made by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, when meeting Friday in Nanjing with Sun Huashan, Vice Minister of Emergency Management. Sun is also executive vice director of the production safety supervision team under the State Council.
Lou briefed the supervision team on the province’s efforts to strengthen and regulate production safety as well as the progress being made in epidemic control and social and economic development.
Since last year, Jiangsu has carried out work safety regulation campaigns by implementing the new development concept under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and drawing lessons from the deadly March 21 chemical transplant explosion, Lou said.
The CPC Provincial chief noted that Jiangsu will spare no effort to promote the modernization of production safety governance system and governance capabilities, strengthen institutional construction, promote industrial upgrading, and strive to improve the level of intrinsic safety.
He also vowed that the province will live up to the expectation of the Party and the people in the regulation and supervision of work safety by following the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
Sun Huashan extended his gratitude to the help from the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government on the regulation and supervision of work safety.
He briefed the provincial leadership on the recent work the supervision team has carried out in recent weeks.
He said the supervision team will work with Jiangsu Province to implement this major political task commissioned by the Party Central Committee and the State Council to jointly advance the modernization of the safety production governance system and governance capabilities.
