Private firms in east China’s Jiangsu province have been mobilized to lend a helping hand in the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The Red Bean Group CPC Committee, in conjunction with the party secretaries of 30 private enterprises in the province, issued an initiative calling on the party organizations and entrepreneurs of the private enterprises in the province to take an active role and act as contributors to resolutely winning the fight against the epidemic.
Zhou Haijiang, Party Secretary of Hongdou Group paid 10 million yuan in special party membership dues to help prevent and control the epidemic.
The Red Bean Group also started to produce disposable protective clothing that will be allocated by the government.
Well-known enterprises such as Jiangsu Sunshine Group and Bosideng Group have quickly started to produce epidemic protective clothing with an average daily output of about 2,000 pieces and the production capacity will continue to increase in the future.
Hengli Group, a private enterprise in Wujiang District, Suzhou city, donated RMB 100 million to Wuhan Charity Federation for the prevention and treatment of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Wuhan. The company also started the global procurement of epidemic prevention materials.
Jiangsu Jurong Pharmaceutical Group worked overtime to produce anti-viral oral solution for areas hit by the virus. Bangmei New Material Co., Ltd. has been working three shifts since the Spring Festival to produce non-woven fabrics, a crucial raw material for the making of facial masks. Meilan Chemical Group donated epidemic prevention and control materials to Hubei to ease the shortage of disinfectant solutions.
Private enterprises in Jiangsu have so far donated 990 million yuan in money and materials to Hubei.
