The Nanjing Lukou International Airport has got ready for the arrival of passengers from home and abroad for the upcoming Spring Festival Holiday, as is evidenced by the slogan “welcome home” in the customs inspection zone which has immersed the airport with the festival mood.
Spring Festival is a traditional time for Chinese people to return home for family reunions. Many people also make overseas trips for sightseeing during the seven-day holiday.
Border control authorities across the country are required to launch a theme activity on welcome home, according to a notice issued by the National Immigration Administration.
The Nanjing immigration border checkpoint has installed duty zones, inquiry desks, photo walls and message boards to await the arrival of the passengers.
Calligraphers have been invited to make on-site creations to write Chinese the character Fu and the spring couplets so as to give heartfelt greetings to the passengers entering and leaving the city and provide best possible environment for customs clearance.
