East China’s Jiangsu province kicked off its occupational skill promotion campaign week Monday morning in Nanjing.
The human resources and social security authorities will provide policy advice on occupational upgrading for enterprises, technical colleges, training institutions, evaluation agencies and various types of workers.
They will also handle applications concerning the apprentice-based skill training and cooperative agreement signing during the promotion week.
The human resources and social security authorities will also arrange for enterprises, training institutions and technical colleges and universities to receive vocational training subsidies allocated by the government.
Jiangsu has released its action plan for occupational skill promotion. From 2019 to 2021, the province will allocate 8.77 billion yuan from the balance of the unemployment insurance fund to launch various occupational skill training for 4.5 million workers.
60 million yuan has been spent on training more than 1 million workers.
