Fan Jinlong, member of the standing committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and executive vice governor, met Monday in Nanjing with a delegation from the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, norwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Fan extended his warm welcome to the visit to Jiangsu by the delegation from the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture.
He said the paired assistance program Jiangsu has conducted in Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture is a glorious task entrusted to Jiangsu by the CPC Central Committee and also a political responsibility Jiangsu has shouldered.
The CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and the provincial government have attached great important to the paired assistance program by sticking to the scientific planning and focusing on the improvement of livelihood, he said.
Relying on investment projects and talent introduction, Jiangsu has given full play to its paired assistance program in the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, he added.
Fan Jinlong remarked that Jiangsu will make further efforts to promote poverty alleviation in the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture through industrial cooperation and talent support so as to make greater contribution to the country’s overall development.
The head of the delegation from the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture said two counties in the prefecture cast off poverty last year with another one to meet its poverty reduction goal this year.
He noted that the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture will give better play to its development and poverty alleviation campaign so as to repay the altruistic help from Jiangsu.
