China will launch a health promotion action plan in primary and secondary schools in response to the 15 specific measures included in the Opinions on Implementing Healthy China Action released by the State Council in June this year, according to a press release held by the Ministry of Education on Tuesday.
It is of vital importance to promote the health of primary and secondary school students and increase physical education, extracurricular exercise and health education.
However, in practice, physical education teachers have encountered many difficulties in health education.
At present, the Ministry of Education is developing a teaching guide for health education from primary school to high school, and will make a video to guide the actual teaching. This work will be completed at the end of this year.
At the same time, schools in China are implementing the reforms of campus football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice and snow, etc., so as to fully implement the one-hour and one-hour off-campus sports activities of students advocated in the Healthy China Action.
In addition, in order to promote the implementation of health promotion activities in primary and secondary schools, the Ministry of Education has included physical education subjects in the scores of the senior high school entrance examinations. In the independent entrance examinations for colleges and universities, colleges and universities have added sports subject tests.
With the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council issued the Opinions on Implementing Healthy China Action in June this year.
The Healthy China Action specifies the implementation of 15 specific programs and a total of 124 main indicators were proposed. Every program specifies its goals, indicators and approaches for implementation. Specific tasks have been assigned for the government along with health advice proposed to all society and the public.
