The 2019 Industrial Interconnection and Digital Economy Conference and the 2nd Industrial Internet Platform Innovation and Development Conference opened in Suzhou on Wednesday.
Among the leaders present at the opening ceremony were Wang Xinzhe, chief economist of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhuang Shuxin, deputy secretary-general of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Zhao Dejiang, member of the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Party Committee and secretary-general, Lan Shaomin, standing member of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, and vice governor Ma Qiulin.
Lan Shaomin said in his speech that Suzhou will continue to promote the deep integration of next-generation information technology such as cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and the real economy, and create a Suzhou industrial Internet brand to boost Suzhou's digital economy and industry.
Wang Xinzhe said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will give a strong support to the country’s campaign for a manufacturing powerhouse and a cyber powerhouse, accelerate the construction and promotion of the industrial Internet platform, focus on improving the industrial base capacity and the modernization level of the industrial chain, and fuel the digital transformation of the real economy.
