Ren Zhenhe, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, went on an inspection tour to Nantong, Yancheng, Lianyungang and Xuzhou to inspect the progress of poverty alleviation and the campaign of building a comprehensively well-off society in an all-round way.
Ren visited several agricultural enterprises in Hai’an, Dongtai, Xiangshui, Donghai and Pizhou counties to learn about the production and sales of the farm produce.
He encouraged the agricultural enterprises to continue their efforts in technology innovation and the integration of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries so as to expand the industrial chain and lift the added value.
He also asked the enterprises to continue to develop the "enterprise + cooperative + farmer" model to ensure that more farmers share the industry value-added benefits.
When visiting the modern agricultural industry demonstration zone in Dongtai, the Qianggang Farm and the intelligent agriculture demonstration zone in Donghai, Ren Zhenghe learned in detail about the cultivation of varieties, planting area and output efficiency.
The deputy CPC provincial secretary spoke highly of the efforts to promote land transfer and scale operation so as to increases farmers' land transfer income and wage income, and broaden the collective income increase channel.
He asked the local government to explore new ways to develop high-efficiency modern agriculture by taking the industrial parks and the bases as the carriers, guide farmers to promote the application of new varieties and new technologies, and better play the role of demonstration in modern agricultural construction.
During his visit to five villages in Dongtai, Guan’nan, Binghai, Pizhou counties and Jiawang district of Xuzhou, Ren Zhenghe learned in detail about the agricultural production, the improvement of the rural housing conditions, the governance of the rural areas and the promotion of cultural undertakings in the rural areas.
