The double-tower five-span cable-stayed bridge structure is adopted in the main channel bridge of Hutong Yangtze River Bridge, giving rise to five closures of the bridge structures in the construction. The two auxiliary spans of the north and the south have been completed. The steel truss girder hoisted this time belongs to the north side of the main channel bridge.
In order to reduce the influence of temperature on the thermal expansion and contraction of the steel truss beam, after the hoisting is completed, the construction party will start the hoisting operation when the night temperature is relatively constant.
Static acceptance is a step that must be experienced before a new railway is opened to traffic. At the construction site of the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng Railway, a 225-meter contact network inspection vehicle was laid on the rails while the staff braved the high temperature for testing.
The Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai'an-Yancheng Railway is one of the most important railway arteries in the hinterland of Jiangsu. With a designed speed of 250 kilometers per hour, the railway is expected to be completed in December 2019 in conjunction with the Lianyungang-Huai'an section of the Lianyungang-Huai’an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang Railway.
