East China’s Jiangsu province organized a mobilization meeting Monday afternoon in Nanjing to see off the officials sent to aid Tibet and Qinghai. Guo Wenqi, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of Organization Department, addressed the event.
Guo Wenqi pointed out that counterpart support for Tibet and Tibetan areas of Qinghai Province is a major strategic decision made by the Party Central Committee based on national security, national rejuvenation and people's happiness, and is an inevitable requirement for shared prosperity of the socialist system.
He demanded that all the officials sent to aid Tibet and Qinghai should come to the awareness of the political significance of the aid program from a higher political stance as the aid program is an important strategy of the country and a political responsibility of Jiangsu.
He asked the officials sent to aid Tibet and Qinghai to adhere to higher standards, focus on targeted poverty alleviation, consolidate the foundation of industrial development, give full play to the advantages of science and education talents, focus on improving people's livelihood and welfare, and strive to create a new situation in Jiangsu's aid to Tibet.
