Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, met in Nanjing on Monday with a delegation of senior officials of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by Điểu Kré, member of the Central Committee and Deputy Minister of the Central Democratic Movement of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
On behalf of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Lou Qinjian extended his warm welcome to the visit by Điểu Kré, adding that with the joint efforts of the leaders of the two countries, the friendship between China and Vietnam has been continuously strengthened.
Vietnam is an important country along the “Belt and Road” and an important member of the ASEAN cooperation mechanism, Lou said, adding that Jiangsu sits at the meeting point of the “Belt and Road”, laying a solid foundation for both sides to promote the exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, education and tourism.
We are willing to work with Vietnam to seriously implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further increase cooperation in the economic field, cement the exchanges between the two sides, expand the people-to-people exchanges, and contribute more to the friendly cooperation between China and Vietnam, said Lou Qinjian.
Điểu Kré said that the great achievements made by Jiangsu's economic and social development left a deep impression on the delegation. Jiangsu's series of good practices and good experiences in opening-up is worth learning. He hoped that Vietnam will implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen the exchanges and cooperation with Jiangsu in various fields and advance the friendship between the two countries.
