The first Global Elite Talent Festival and the final of the China-Germany and China-Italy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were launched Sunday morning in Jiangning, Nanjing. The event is part of the 2019 Nanjing Tech Week.
As the only special event with talents as the theme in Nanjing Tech Week, this talent festival will help Nanjing expand its talent cooperation with the concept of "creating, sharing and win-win".
Nobel Prize laureates, academicians from home and abroad and executives of international R&D institutions and venture capital firms were invited to attend the opening ceremony.
The base for world’s leading scientific and technological experts was unveiled at the ceremony.
The experts include Liu Yunjie, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Andrew Chi-Chih Yao, acamecian of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
A number of talent and industry cooperation contracts were signed at the opening ceremony.
Achievements of Nanjing’s innovation and entrepreneurship were showcased.
The road shows of the China-Germany and China-Italy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will be staged during the talent festival.
More than 2000 innovative and entrepreneurial leaders from home and abroad were invited to attend 18 series events over seven days in a bid to promote the integration of international brainpower, innovation resources and Nanjing’s efforts for an innovative city with global prominence so as to boost Nanjing’s urban priamcy.
