The 4th Jiangsu Zijin Chorus Festival and the award-giving concert came to a close Sunday evening at the Jiangsu Grand Theatre in Nanjing.
Wang Yanwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and head of the Publicity Department, and Yan Li, vice chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, attended the event and presented the award.
The award-giving concert was kicked off to the rhythm of The Motherland, My Kind Mother.
Some other classical songs were sung at the concert, enrapturing the audience who waved the national flag at the end of the concert to come up with the most unforgettable moment.
The 4th Jiangsu Zijin Chorus Festival, which lasted three months, was staged in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
More than 20000 people with 306 choirs signed up for the festival. Over 4 million people joined in the interactive live broadcast on the Internet.
