The second China (Huai'an) International Food Expo will be held from May 9 to 12 in Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province.
With the theme of “Quality Food, Good Life”, the fair will be composed of three major sections - exhibition, conference and food show. The exhibition area of nearly 30,000 square meters has six halls and 1,390 standard booths. In addition to 456 exhibitors, over half from overseas, there are also 15 country delegations, which together bring the total number of brands home and abroad to over 10,000. The fair also includes nearly 10,000 buyers from the United States, Britain, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China’s Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions and the mainland provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.
Many exciting and special events will be held during the expo. For example, leading chefs from the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in Gastronomy and four major Chinese cuisines as well as masters known for making traditional Chinese food recognized as an in intangible cultural heritage will showcase their cookery skills and techniques.
With a focus on new development, business model, technologies and trends in food production, distribution and consumption, organizers of the expo have invited governmental departments, international organizations, industry associations and well-known experts, scholars and entrepreneurs to participate in high-end seminars on a broad range of topics including industrial cooperation, food safety and food culture. Cities included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in Gastronomy will also have a summit during the expo.
The expo will be held at Huai'an International Food Expo Center, No. 169 Beijing South Road, Qingjiangpu District. From the afternoon of May 9 to the morning of the May 12, the visit time is between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, with the last admission at 4:30 pm, and the public can enter the expo after scanning a code to get the free ticket.
