Construction of the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng Railway made a new milestone on April 3 when the long rails were laid in Yancheng Station.
The Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng Railway, with a total length of 316.271 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour, has 11 stations linking the four cities as well as some counties.
It is expected that work to lay the long rails for the railway will complete by the end of April and by December 28 the whole line will get through. After the railway opens, a journey between Xuzhou and Yancheng will only take about 1.5 hours, 3.5 hours faster than by road. At the same time, the railway will also be connected to Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Yancheng-Nantong Railway and Lianyungang-Huai’an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang Railway.
