Writers, artists and theorists from east China’s Jiangsu province have hailed the important speech made by Chinese President Xi Jinping on boosting culture confidence. Xi Jinping on Monday called on writers, artists and theorists to strengthen cultural confidence, serve the people with fine works, and guide the public with high moral standards when joining a joint panel discussion attended by political advisors from the sectors of culture and art, and social sciences.
The CPPCC members from the sectors of culture and art, and social sciences unanimously agreed that the speech of the General Secretary once again blew the clarion call for the spirit of cultural self-confidence, the power of the great soul and the works, and the strong spiritual encouragement for the party and the people to move forward.
When speaking to the eight political advisors on Monday, Xi Jinping noted that the quality of cultural, literary and art works have constantly improved, and the development of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics has accelerated with remarkable achievements made.
