Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and chairman of the Provincial People’s Congress, stressed efforts to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, resolutely implement the decision-making arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, persist in striving for stability, promote high-quality development, and strive to support the overall development of the country. He made the remarks when attending a panel discussion Tuesday with his fellow deputies from Jiangsu province at the second session of the 13th National People's Congress, China's national legislature.
Lou said that the report made by Premier Li Keqiang embodies the implementation of Xi Jinping’s new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the party’s 19th National Congress, runs through the general tone of making steady progress while maintaining stability and fully reflects the strong will and strategic determination to overcome various difficult challenges.
The CPC Provincial Chief said that in the past year, under the complicated and ever-changing international situation, the country's economy and society have maintained steady and healthy development. With the increase of restrictive factors, new economic momentum has accelerated, new bright spots have emerged, and economic globalization has experienced twists and turns.
Under the complicated circumstances, Jiangsu has continued to expand its opening to the outside world and won wide international recognition and made new major progress in the construction of a comprehensive and well-off society, said Lou.
[voice over]These achievements highlight the correct judgment on and effective response to the great changes in the external environment by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the accurate grasp and skillful use of the economic work rules of the new era, and the firm confidence and strategic determination for promoting the implementation of major decision-making arrangements, Lou Qinjian said, adding that the achievements also reflect the solid and powerful work of the State Council, the superiority of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the adherence to the mission by the CPC members.
