NPC deputies from Jiangsu province arrived in Beijing on Saturday for the upcoming annual session of the 13th National People’s Congress.
The deputies from Jiangsu showed a full spirit and enthusiasm for performance as they stepped out of the high-speed rail cars. They believed that the upcoming second session of the 13th National People's Congress is a very important meeting held in the key year of building a well-off society in an all-round way and achieving the first centennial goal.
The annual session is of great significance to the implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, unite the thoughts and actions of the people of all nationalities to the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, and work together to accomplish the goals and tasks of this year so as to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China with outstanding performances.
The Jiangsu delegation consists of nearly 150 deputies.
The deputies said that they will perform their duties under the Constitution and the laws with a strong sense of responsibility, go all out to complete the tasks of the annual session, propose motions for the country’s development, and offer suggestions for accelerating the construction of a new Jiangsu.
The 2nd Session of the 13th National People's Congress will open at 9:00am on Tuesday, March 5th, at the Great Hall of the People.
