East China’s Jiangsu province held a theme activity Friday in Nanjing to mark the annual International Women’s Day. Guo Wenqi, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department, addressed the event. On behalf of the provincial party committee, Guo Wenqi extended a holiday greeting to the women in the province. He urged women’s federations at all levels in the province should unite women with common goals and motivate women with exemplary strength. He also called on Party committees and governments at all levels to strengthen the leadership over women's work and create favorable conditions for women's federations to carry out their work. A song and dance gala was staged to sing high praise for the contributions made by women in Jiangsu.
