A photovoltaic cell technology, jointly developed by Xuzhou Xinyu Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. in Peixian County and Utilight Ltd. of Israel, was approved to receive fund under a policy incentive to promote international S&T cooperation in Jiangsu Province.
Golden Concord Holdings Limited (GCL Group), a diversified energy conglomerate, is the world’s only company to own a completely integrated PV industrial chain. GCL Group was ranked among top 30 energy enterprises in China in 2018. As a subsidiary of GCL Group, Xinyu Photovoltaic Technology is the only solar panel manufacture in the industrial chain, with 30 production lines and photovoltaic capacity of 2.2GW.
Utilight Ltd. is an Israeli innovation company dedicated to the development of a novel, disruptive printing technology for mass production of photovoltaic cells, PTP technology - graphic transfer.
The research between two companies will improve the efficiency, lower the cost and lead to a win-win cooperation. The two companies have signed a project contract and successfully developed the new equipment and technology. They are trying to shorten the trial production cycle and apply the technology into full production as soon as possible.
Xuzhou is an important hub of “Belt and Road” initiative. Peixian County takes a leading role in Xuzhou’s economic development at the county level. The cooperation is the outcome of Peixian’s active participation in the international S&T cooperation under the framework of “Belt and Road” initiative.
