The 2019 National Policy Advisory Work Conference was held in Nanjing from February 21st to 22nd. Li Wei, director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, attended the meeting and gave a work report. Ma Jiantang, party secretary of the Development Research Center of the State Council, made a summary of the meeting. Provincial Party Secretary Qi Qinqin and Governor Wu Zhenglong met with Li Wei and Ma Jiantang.
On behalf of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, Lou Qinjian and Wu Zhenglong thanked the Development Research Center of the State Council for their long-term support for Jiangsu's development.
Lou briefed the leaders of the Development Research Center of the State Council on the province’s key work of promoting high-quality development, in particular Jiangsu’s adherence to Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics as the guide, the in-depth implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech made during his inspection to Jiangsu, and tone of making progress while maintaining stability for the promotion of high-quality development and the construction of a new Jiangsu
They hoped that the Development Research Center of the State Council will continue to care for the development of Jiangsu, provide guidance for the key tasks of the province, and help the province make new progress in the new journey of high-quality development.
Li Wei and Ma Jiantang said that the Development Research Center of the State Council has always attached great importance to the reform and development of Jiangsu, and will further strengthen its close cooperation with Jiangsu, conduct decision-making consultation research on the implementation of national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region as a national strategy, and help Jiangsu's high-quality development to rank at the forefront of the country.
Li Wei conveyed the important instructions of the leading officials of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on policy consulting and research work, briefed the work of the Development Research Center of the State Council in the past year, and gave proposals on the key work of 2019.
Fan Jinlong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, executive deputy governor and secretary-general of the provincial party committee, said that policy consultation is an important support for scientific decision-making. Jiangsu will seize the opportunity of this meeting to implement the spirit of the conference, further improve the policy consultation mechanism, strengthen cooperation with high-end think tanks such as the Development Research Center of the State Council, and strive to turn more intellectual achievements into reform and development results.
