The post-holiday tourism market in east China’s Jiangsu province have heated up as prices on some hot tour routes as well as hotel and flight prices have been slashed by a large margin.
Air fares with major airlines have plummeted with discounts of 50% offered on hot flights while hotels and restaurants have also slashed the room rates and by a large margin since the end of the lunar New Year celebrations, according to insiders.
A 6-day 5-night trip to the Bali Island now charges less than 5000 yuan per person, compared with 10000 yuan per person during the spring festival holiday.
The cost of traveling to Yunnan for sightseeing tours has plummeted to 3000 yuan from more than 5000 yuan during the spring festival holiday.
Prices for package tours to Beijing, Hainan and Xiamen have also been slashed by 50% since the end of the week-long spring festival.
The travel service said the price during the holiday was expensive and tourist destinations were packed with visitors. With post-holiday travel, things are quite different. People can enjoy the pleasure of traveling at much cheaper prices.
