An aircraft of Sichuan Airlines carrying two giant pandas arrived at Nantong Xingdong International Airport from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on January 22. The two pandas were the first pair of "national treasure" visiting the city in Jiangsu Province.
Born on August 12, 2016, the mixed-gender panda twins, Xing Hui and Xing Fan, will meet the public on February 5, the first day of lunar Chinese New Year.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding inspected the Panda House in Nantong Forest Wildlife Park and approved its conditions for breeding giant pandas. The research base will also hold a five-year science education program for panda-breeding.
