Alibaba’s logistics affiliate Cainiao Network launched China’s first robotic dispatch center running on Internet of Things (IoT) in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, January 22.
The center mainly dispatches large and medium-sized packages with its operating system reliant on IoT technology. The center also employs computer vision and intelligent multi-agent systems among technologies to maintain a full control of the work flow, including smart identifying and rapid distribution.
The robotic distribution system can handle over 90 percent of the packages with online supermarket products, which is 1.6 times more efficient than people workers.
