Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, visited an army unit in Jingjiang on Tuesday to extend his festive greetings to the military servicemen and servicewomen.
Wu Zhenglong got aboard the boats to inspect the equipment, and observed the troops in the drills.
When extending his festive greetings, he promised that the CPC Provincial Committee and the provincial government will do their utmost to provide services and solve difficulties for the officers and soldiers.
He hoped that the officers and soldiers will work hard, train hard, temper their will and display their talents.
Wu watched a fire emergency drill conducted by the army boat unit and the local police.
He expressed his gratitude to the army unit for its long-term support to Jiangsu’s development.
The governor also pledged that the provincial authorities will support the army's reform and construction, deepen the integration of military and civilian development, and constantly consolidate military-government and military-civilian relations so as to salute the 70th anniversary of the founding the People’s Republic of China with outstanding achievements.
