Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, urged the province to implement the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at a two-day central conference on political and legal work which concluded Wednesday in Beijing.
Lou made the remarks at a teleconference in Nanjing alongside with Wu Zhenglong, governor of Jiangsu, and other top provincial leaders.
Lou Qinjian pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made a series of important instructions on political and legal work. At this year’s Central Political and Legal Work Conference, General Secretary Xi Jinping comprehensively summed up the achievements and experiences of political and legal work since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and profoundly analyzed the historical position of the political and legal undertakings in the new era by giving answers to a series of directional, fundamental, and overall major issues.
He demanded that party organizations at all levels in the province should take the in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech as a major political task, grasp the essential attributes, missions, overall ideas and major deployments of the political and legal work in the new era, uphold the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguard the authority of the CPC Central Committee and unite around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, follow the spirit of the General Secretary's important speech to arm the mind and guide the practice of political and legal work.
The CPC Provincial chief demanded that the party organizations at all levels in the province should act in accordance with the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the basis of the actual situation in Jiangsu, study the ideas and measures for promoting the development of political and legal work, and push the province’s political and legal work to a new level.
He noted that it is important to regard the overall situation of service as the basic duty of the political and legal work in the new era, identify the point of integration of functions and service centers, and strive to improve the ability to escort high-quality development.
It is necessary to firmly establish an overall national security concept and regard maintaining political security as a top priority, Lou said, adding that Jiangsu will launch aggressive campaigns to crack down on organized crimes, strengthen and innovate social governance, and consolidate and develop a harmonious and stable social situation in the province.
Lou Qinjian noted that efforts should be made to comprehensively promote various reforms in the political and legal fields, accelerate the intelligentized construction, continuously improve the public service mechanism of politics and law, and provide more high-quality and efficient political and legal services to the people so as to strengthen the building of political and legal teams, adhere to strict education and management, and strive to build a high-quality political and legal team that will reassure the party and the people.
