Provincial leaders Lou Qinjian and Huang Lixin paid a visit Sunday in Nanjing to the provincial CPPCC members from Hong Kong and Macao and the specially invited representatives to the second session of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, the Provincial Government, and the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Huang Lixin expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the long-term concern and support for Jiangsu's development given by the provincial CPPCC members from Hong Kong and Macao.
She spoke highly of the speech delivered by Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiansu Provincial Committee, at the opening ceremony of the second session of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee.
Huang Lixin, chairwoman of the 12th CPPCC Provincial Committee, noted that the year 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the People's Political Consultative Conference and also a crucial year for realizing the goal of building a comprehensively well-off society at a highlevel.
We must thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, especially the important thinking of the General Secretary on strengthening and improving the work of the CPPCC, and focus on the functions of the CPPCC in accordance with the central tasks of the provincial party committee and the provincial government so as to write a new chapter in the journey of building a new Jiangsu in the new era, she said.
