Wang Yanwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Publicity Chief, met Tuesday afternoon in Nanjing with Kim Han-kyu, president of 21st Century South Korea-China Exchange Association.
Wang Yanwen expressed her gratitude to Kim Han-kyu for his visit to Nanjing for participation in the 2018 International Peace Day commemoration activities and her gratitude for his unremitting efforts in promoting the friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and South Korea.
Wang Yanwen said that Jiangsu is located at the intersection of the "Belt and Road" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It has a unique location advantage and industrial base and is willing to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with the ROK under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
Jiangsu supports the construction of China-Korea Yancheng Industrial Park and deepens the investment cooperation between the two sides. It also encourages people-to-people exchanges and strengthens the exchanges between the two sides in the fields of culture and education for the enhancement of mutual understanding.
Kim Han-kyu said that on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China, the Choi Jiwon Memorial Hall was completed in Yangzhou, which has helped to promote the friendly exchanges between the 21st Century South Korea-China Exchange Association and Jiangsu Province and various other places in China.
The association will work to promote exchanges and cooperation between Korea and Jiangsu in more fields, seize the opportunity of the "Belt and Road" construction, and explore a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation model, he said.
