The sweet-scented osmanthus in the Zhongshan scenic area in Nanjing City will blossom one week later than usual due to the dry weather and less rainfall recently, but some species will produce early flowers this weekend, according to Jiangsu media.
The 2018 Nanjing Linggu Sweet-scented Osmanthus Flower Festival will last until October 10.
The scenic area will organize a variety of activities during the one-month festival, including the Nanjing Forest Concert at Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Music Theater on Sept. 21- 24.
A show of traditional culture and art will be held at the Linggu Temple on Sept. 15-16 and Oct. 4-6, when visitors will have chances to enjoy Wuxi Opera, Kunqu Opera, Yangzhou Opera, puppet shows and other music performances.
