A contracts signing ceremony of 30 major projects, involving a total investment of 6.74 billion yuan ($980 million), was held at the 9th China (Taizhou) International Medical Expo on Sept. 17.
The agreements included 26 industrial projects, one regional headquarters project and three major supportive industrial projects.
According to the China Medical City Innovation Index 2018 unveiled in the fair, the Taizhou-based life science incubator scored 126.3 and 159. 2 in 2016 and 2017 respectively, on the benchmark point of 100 in 2015. This shows that Taizhou’s pharmaceutical high-tech zone has made remarkable progress in enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship, creating a distinctive bio-pharmaceutical industry and achieving high-quality development.
