The summer vacation is coming to an end and the students are about to return to campus. Regional authorities across the province are striving to maintain safety and security in order to create a good and safe environment.
The education department, the traffic police and the primary and secondary schools in Zhangjiagang, Xuyi, Siyang and some other places have jointly carried out a thorough check on the safety of the school buses. In addition to the routine items such as vehicle lighting and engine performance, the safety belts and fire extinguishers in the car are also checked one by one so as to ensure that the school buses will run safely in the new school year.
Food safety on campus also matters. In order to ensure that students and parents can be assured of food safety and environmental hygiene in the cafeteria, colleges and universities in Huai’an have launched a transparent safe food and beverage mobile app. Students and parents can click on the app on their mobile phones to gain insight into the operation of the school canteens.
More than 100 school canteens and food supply units in Huai’an City have also established "food safety credit files" and incorporated them into food safety supervision and inspection targets.
Authorities in Lianshui and some other places have carried out "special inspections" on the canteens of primary and secondary schools. Canteens where substandard operations have been found were ordered to rectify within a time limit.
Huayang Central Primary School in Jurong County have renovated and repaired the school canteens inside and outside.
