East China’s Jiangsu province has geared up for the inaugural China International Import Expo that will be held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th, according to a press conference held by the provincial government on Tuesday.
The first import expo will set up seven exhibition areas including smart and high-end equipment, consumer electronics and home appliances, clothing and apparel, daily consumer goods, food and agricultural products.
At present, more than 2,600 companies from more than 130 countries and regions have signed up for the exhibition.
Jiangsu has fully utilized the "quasi-home" advantage, actively strengthened its coordination with Shanghai, and vigorously implemented the "1246" investment promotion campaign by focusing on large-scale import enterprises and key trade and circulation enterprises.
At present, the provincial trade delegation has issued the registration invitation QR code to each sub-delegation and opened a network information consultation and publicity platform.
Buyers and professional visitors who are ready to participate in the Import Expo can apply to the Business Bureau of the prefectural city where they are registered. After obtaining the invitation QR code, they can log in to the official website of the Import Expo to register. As of July 15, more than 5,700 companies and more than 14,000 professional visitors from Jiangsu have signed up for the expo.
