The annual session of Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week has attracted tens of thousands of talents from home and abroad with investment contracts signed to fuel the local economy.
A trade consultation fair was held Saturday morning at Wujiang district. The event is part of the Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week.
24 investment projects were signed in equipment manufacturing, new materials, technological development and some other fields to fuel the accelerated growth of the four multi-million-yuan industrial clusters in Wujiang.
A civil-military innovation and entrepreneurship contest was also held in Wujiang district to center on laser and light communication and focus on projects with core technologies and high growth potential to help the development of the electronic information industry.
The second Kunshan Entrepreneurship Week also kicked off on Saturday to attract more than 4000 professionals and the settlement of over 700 innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
The city of Taicang has unveiled its talent support policies to encourage the settlement of more innovation and entrepreneurship projects by rewarding up to 500000 yuan to those who will be funded by the country’s One Thousand Talents Program.
Its four pillar industries are expected to generate 900 billion yuan of output value by the end of 2020 to become the new growth engines for economic growth in Suzhou.
